Transitional Alchemy

There are 3 recognizable stages of Transformation:

1) The Revolution - you reach a point where you just can’t do it anymore, something has to change, and that something is you.

2) The Dissolution - this is the stage where you begin to identify what you want to end, walk away from, create boundaries around etc. It’s when you don’t know what you do want, but you’re clear on what you don’t want based on the cycle of experiences you’ve had before the Revolution.

3) The Evolution - you begin to learn about your true self as you shed conditioned layers, opening to the nectar of who you truly are. You create boundaries so that you can find out all of this new and exciting information about yourself that was buried in your cave of treasures.

And then there’s the amorphous one. The one that follows the beat of it’s own drummer but plays an essential role in the process, The Alchemy.

The Alchemy - where all of the patterns, wiring, and storage of what went into creating this false sense of self are turned into something new, or, alchemized. ‘Stuff’ begins to rise up to the surface - like toxins floating to the top. They rise up from the subconscious, from the muscles and fascia and bones in the form of sensations, [intense] feelings, and waves of repressed cellular memories to be released, reprogrammed, and rewritten.

The Alchemy is what creates the lasting change, the going from one way of being to another below the surface of the thinking mind. I would say it’s like turning water into wine - but that might be misleading. Miraculous? Yes. Happens in a fleeting moment? Hell no.

The process of transformation is like the ouroboros - the cycle of death + rebirth, over and over and over again. However, it’s helpful to use linear language for our sense-liking brains. In the name of brain pleasing, let’s use a staircase as a metaphor to go a little bit deeper.

Ouroboros

The Revolution would be that first step off of the landing onto the staircase - looking down you can’t quite tell where it leads, and that causes some anxiety, panic, and maybe even anger. But you really can’t be on this fucking landing anymore, so you take that first step down. You’re abandoning your known way of existence, and despite it not serving you, you’re not sure about this craziness of leaving the known for an un-promised staircase to…where exactly? Exactly. This is what some might call a leap of faith, but it can feel like less eloquent, like gripping tightly onto the safety rail of a roller coaster that has reached its crescendo and is ready to free fall down down the tracks. You can’t go back, so you squeeze your eyes shut, squeeze your butt cheeks even tighter, and down you go.

Despite some possibly intense emotional flair-ups from there to here, from what you can tell, you’re safe, if not a little shakey and feeling like you’ve drunk a tall glass of what-the-fuck juice. Yet, as you spend some time here at The Dissolution, you get a sense that this staircase is taking you somewhere you want to go, even if you can’t see its trajectory. When you look back up from this step, you can see where you came from clearly, but what comes next is still fuzzy. This descent is still a questionable decision. With your clearer sight you recognize you can’t go back to that landing, you’ve seen the bullshit between here and there - taken the red pill so to speak- so, you bravely take the next step.

Usually around this point you’ve been meeting surrender as gracefully as bumper cars colliding, a little bit of whiplash included. Like a new pair of shoes being broken in it’s not exactly comfortable, more like a weary acceptance. Whereas uncertainty and the unknown aren’t your first choice, you’re getting the hang of the discomfort and recognizing it as a nudge to ‘let go’ and take another step. So far, its been worth it enough - but you keep your judgement, worry, and doubts nearby, just in case - as you take the next step.

You land in The Evolution, and it’s likely to be your favorite step thus far, making all of that discomfort and previously suss players like surrender, letting go, and even the unknown look credible. Uncovering your secret self is liberating - as is saying ‘no’ and setting clear and healthy boundaries. Not to say this step doesn’t come with it’s challenges, but as your sense of what you’re saying ‘no’ to - and with that, what you’re saying ‘yes’ to - grows, you’re noticing more personal power and available energy to put towards this new and fabulous you. This is your ‘me’ step, an incredibly important step. Your self-love lives here, as does your authenticity, empowerment, integrity - it’s a bad ass step. Each challenge offers you more clarity, and you feel like yourself for the first time. For many of us, this step is enough to make it all feel worth it.

And somewhere beyond the veil are steps you can’t see because they’re shrouded in the comfort of the known, blending into their surroundings seamlessly. The Alchemy will take you through the looking glass as needed where you’ll meet your entrenched experiences below the surface. The Alchemy requires an Alchemist, someone who creates the necessary circumstances by way of experience. This territory of cellular change can be scary at first, but the reward? Ultimate freedom.

The journey of it all is Transitional Alchemy.

Transitional Alchemy is brave and courageous AF. Entering the unknown, letting go of control, and trusting each and every next step with no idea where you’ll end up or what you’ll find? Brave.

Transitional Alchemy peels back layers of conditioning, reveals intergenerational patterns passed down, and shows us who we’ve been told we are. Whether it’s a limiting belief formed in childhood or a reinforced wound from a relationship or societies suffocating grasp and impeccable shaming, we’ve been conditioned to block out our inner wisdom and lock away the non-conforming parts of ourselves.

Transitional Alchemy is where we get to create something new where something old has been. It excavates our stored experiences, where pre-cognitive memories live, where our ancestral inheritances make their contribution, even where our souls memories of previous incarnations can burrow.

Transitional Alchemy is digging deep to create lasting change. That’s the work of our times, of creating this new paradigm.

Are you standing at a landing, looking down at the steps into the dark unknown? Me too - always.

xx,

Kerrie
