Death as Part of Life

Death + Rebirth are cyclical. They are not a one and done event. Like nature who experiences death + rebirth with the seasons, so do we humans. It would be nice to think we can check the box after some dark night of the soul - the end of an important relationship, death of a loved one, career shakeups, etc. - and mark that life experience as complete. A particular event might come to an end, but death + rebirth are about growing and evolving into the person we’re meant to be…and engaging with our next dark night of the soul from that new plane with a slightly altered perspective.

It’s kind of ironic, the more we ‘level up’ the darker our experiences tend to get - assuming you’re not choosing the love + light bypass route. To go cliche, as you peel back the superficial layers of the onion of yourself, the harder it is not to cry - literally.

Feeling life deeply without getting swept away in the rip-tide, thats some next level Buddha shit. So we die - sometimes big deaths, sometimes smaller ones - over and over and over again so that with each rebirth we can smell the dew on the morning air, feel the sun on our skin melt through our tissues and absorb into our bones. So we can nourish our soul during the inevitable cold dark days and welcome them with presence and understanding that without death, we cannot live.
